‘New Design grows from discovering fresh inspiration & engaging it in innovative ways’, Diane

Questions to Spark our Making Process:

  • Notice the unexpected: What catches your eye? It could become a design source
  • With a suitcase or in your mind,  Where have you been traveling?
  • What is a color you never use? Combine it with the hue opposite on the color wheel for a vibrant pop!
  • What are your FAVORITE sources of imagery? …..Go there now and dive deeper.
  • Choose a NEW material  to work with and let it drive your make.
  • The influence of COLLABORATION in your work- Who do you want to spend a playdate with….Someone from history, or across the country?
  • Welcome the new season, celebrating & creating a piece you NEED to make.

One of Diane’s favorite designs is now available in PDF format! Opening to new vision and design play, Ventana (the window) is perfect for right now…
Expand your views, enjoy the pleated theme and create a new fabric combo for a spring Ventana Vest or Jacket for your wardrobe. Here is the link for the Paper version

This  taffeta lined, linen Vest, washed after construction, is a spring layer over shirts and tee’s.  The Jacket, in a unique jacquard woven Japanese fabric, is a rich wool/silk combination. It is a soft, sculptural layer in any season.
