Yeah! We are all moving outside to our patios & gardens for the summer! I don’t know about you...but I need to hit the refresh button on my furnishings. We started with the 3 bird repeat of my Wing n’ A Prayer Bird Fabric . Here is the new collaboration with my friend Margaret Saydah artycottage.com who is a whiz at what to do with canvas!
Margaret, who has a great eye for design, combined the bird fabric with several solids and a stripe. Next, we picked these vintage buttons from my collection. I really like the loops and buttons becoming a feature instead of a hidden zipper. She tied the buttons on with a heavy thread-a nice detail too.The rattan furniture never looked so good, and we are ready for company now.
I hope you are inspired to get that button jar out and get busy on your pillows. We are on my way out to the patio to enjoy the new look and sit with a basket of handwork!

What a great inspiration. My daughter, a bird watcher, with wedding in September will be getting these for her home!
