The Fall DESIGN OUTSIDE THE LINES RETREAT is just around the corner: Sept. 24-28th. My guest teacher, Nancy Shriber, and I are looking forward to sharing the magic of the Mabel Dodge Luhan House in Taos, New Mexico with you. Inspiration is everywhere! Taos is one of of my favorite locations, especially in September as the fall colors dress the trees in bright yellows and reds against the high desert, turquoise sky.

With a long history as an artist community, the colors, landscape, textiles and imagery of New Mexico is always a rich source of design ideas. I'm always inspired by this unique retreat setting as I gather materials for winter projects. The focus of this retreat will be creating and honing a collection of signature details. Nancy and I will be sharing collections of garments and accessories with techniques and ideas to get you started. You'll have the opportunity to explore and combine a variety of fabric printing techniques with fabric collage, knotted fabric beads, stitching and favorite treasures. You may want to work on several projects in our relaxed studio environment.
